Now Open at Sun Valley Commons – Tap & Vine
The Moser Group, Inc., is excited to announce our newest restaurant tenant at the Sun Valley Commons Shopping Center. Tap & Vine, located near Stone Theater, is truly a one of a kind restaurant in Indian Trail serving delicious tapas style foods, wine and specialty cocktails.
Owner Stephanie Maus and her husband have had a dream of opening a wine bar in the area but didn’t want to exclude the beer and cocktail lover. She noticed a need for a more upscale spot with great food where everyone could be comfortable that didn’t require an Uber to Charlotte and dealing with traffic.
When the opportunity arose to turn the former Growler’s Pourhouse into something more upscale, Stephanie was ready to take on the challenge. She designed the entire space herself with an art-deco theme in mind. Inside are a mixture of masculine and feminine touches with rich hues of color, tufted and velvet furnishings that are balanced out with unique artwork and earthy tones.
“We want it to be a nook of something spectacular in our little town that is up and growing,” Stephanie said.
When choosing the chef, they reached out to the former Stone Table operator for recommendations and were led straight to Christopher Hunter. Right out of the gate, Christopher understood Stephanie’s idea for small, interesting plates that were unique to the area. Never once doubting her vision, Christopher became the perfect fit to the Tap & Vine vision. On the menu you’ll find items like house ground lamb meatballs with red pepper jam, tuna tar tare with avocado and lime zest, Native American Fry bread with house pimento cheese and local honey, and pomme frites (French fries) with white truffle oil and parmesan. They offer 25 craft beers on tap, wines by the glass and bottle, and plenty of craft cocktails.
Although everything is up-in-the-air due to COVID-19 restrictions, the restaurant is hoping to add a wine club, brunch, live music and other fun events for the future.
