Twin Lakes Custom Home Community Has Officially Broken Ground

We are excited to announce that Twin Lakes Community in Weddington, NC has officially broken ground. Twin Lakes is located on 116 acres and offers low Union County taxes and award winning schools. Residents of Twin Lakes will enjoy walking trails, a waterfront gazebo, championship-grade pickle ball courts, and a community dock for kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards. There are two sections of homes in Twin Lakes; Twin Lakes Custom Home Community and The Oaks at Twin Lakes, a Classica section. The model home for the custom community, which will be located on lot 7, is being built by Peters Custom Homes, Inc. We had a ground breaking ceremony on May 22nd, 2021 and all families under contract, the development team, builders, agents, and anyone interested in the community were invited.

The ground breaking ceremony began with a welcome by Mackenzie Moser, recounting her memories of growing up on the land and what it means to her family to be able to develop it into a community for other families to enjoy its beauty and make memories.

Growing up, I would ride dirt bikes, pull sleds behind four wheelers and gators, hunt and fish on this property. When my parents first bought property out here many years ago, it was nothing but a gravel road. Weddington and Union County have grown tremendously and it is really cool to be a part of that growth. We have walked many properties in our County and we believe this piece is one of the most beautiful throughout the region. My dad has been a part of every detail of the design, landscaping and implementation of seeing Twin Lakes come to life. You will see special touches throughout the community from him including the incredible landscaping, timbers, hand laid stone walls and massive rocks. He has been testing trees and plants for years to make sure there will be a bloom every season.

Along with Mackenzie, we heard from Nick Peters of Peters Custom Homes, Nilou Henderson of Henderson Ventures, and ended with a prayer by Dennis Moser of The Moser Group, Inc. After the ground breaking ceremony, all were invited to enjoy a day full of food and fun! Guests were given property rides to see the future homes and amenities being built on the property.
